Product Evaluation

In an effort to encourage the evaluation of products related to winter maintenance and the distribution of those results, Clear Roads has created a Product Evaluation Survey for use by any interested organization. We compile the Survey Results for each product tested and post them on this page at the end of each winter. See below for details.

Clear Roads does not endorse any of the products evaluated. This informal survey is meant to be a tool for states to share experiences with winter maintenance products and not a scientific evaluation of product performance.

2007-08 Product Evaluation Survey

The following products are being evaluated for the 2007-2008 winter season:

1. Reverse-A-Cast plow
2. Joma plow blade
3. Cameras to monitor salt
4. GL3000C Guidance Laser for Wing Plows
5. Fusion Deicer
6. Geomelt
7. Heated windshield washer fluid system
